Most professional users are aware of the uses of vertical aerial imagery, BlomOBLIQUE™ is oblique aerial imagery taken with an angle of approx. 45º, allowing users to visualise the facades of the buildings. Oblique images are easier to interpret by the non-professional user.

Georeferenced oblique imagery extends the benefits of traditional vertical aerial imagery by providing a unique perspective view of a locality, allowing users to:

  • Improve the identification of obscure assets and facilities (e.g. lamp-posts) which are difficult to distinguish on traditional vertical imagery
  • The ability to measure height, length, elevation & area of features directly from imagery.
  • Integrate vector data over the oblique imagery.
  • Data comes with its own viewer application (BlomWEB / BlomDESKTOP), SDK or GIS plug-in

BlomOBLIQUE has been developed to complement existing vertical aerial imagery, rather than replace it. Blom has captured every urban centre in Western Europe with a population of 50,000 inhabitants or more. This is the most comprehensive and detailed imagery database available in Europe

Local Government

Dated multiple views of any location provide government departments with a rich library to generate reports for planning and recording assets.

Law Enforcement

The ability to view, measure and annotate provides an ideal tool for emergency response, event planning and evidence reports.

Property Management

Vibrant imagery provides a wealth of information on any property. Used for reports but also provides the seller / buyer with locational information and a unique perspective.

Utilities & Telecommunications

BlomOBLIQUE images offer asset managers visual records of stock and intelligence on issues such as encroachment risk. The ability to overlay vector data on top of the oblique data allows the user to locate and visualise their asset datasets.
