PICTOMETRY EFS

This desktop-based application allows the user to display any of the available views of a selected point of interest (POI). One can pan and zoom around that POI, take measurements and download images of the POI from different views.

This viewer is an optimal tool for public administrations and private enterprises, such as city planning, property evaluation agencies and tax authorities, as it provides rich information for any property without having physical access to it. It is possible to find a particular building and to analyze some of its characteristics. It is, for example, possible to observe the neighbourhood, review a building’s construction status, capture basic measurements and download different views from the property to include them in reports or files.

The EFS seamlessly handles all image requests seamlessly through management of image libraries and allows geo-coding by using third party web services.

It also provides following functionality:
- The ability to display a specific location based on any given coordinates.
- A single view of orthogonal (vertical) images or any of the four main directions (North, South, East and West). The oblique images can either be natural obliques or ortho-rectified obliques.
- Navigating in any of the images by using the usual pan, centre and zoom tools.
- In any selected POI in the oblique view, it is possible that more than one image for that POI is available. The system will display the image with the most centrally located POI, whilst offering the other views as additional reference material.
- Measurement tools for areas, lengths and heights in oblique images.
- Measurement tools for areas and lengths in the orthogonal images.
