10 / 15 CITY ORTHOGONAL IMAGES

Orthogonal images are a continuous projected mosaic from the vertical view. Blom is able to offer seamless images of urban regions at resolutions as high as 10 cm per pixel.

The online orthophoto available through BlomURBEX offers in excess of 1,000 cities. This is the largest high-resolution orthophoto library in the world, providing the user access to worldwide imagery datasets, whilst using the same service. The mosaic product is produced from orthogonal imagery that has been geometrically corrected to represent true ground position. Not only does an orthophoto contain photographic information, but the user can also overlay vector data and measure true distances.

The orthophoto offers a great potential for many purposes, including:

• Internet Search Directories
• Planning
• Emergency Services
• Civil Engineering
• Navigation and Location Based Services
• Property Development
• Environment
• Local and Regional Government

Together with the Blom's oblique images, the orthophoto provides the user a unique user perspective.

All the imagery is available in WGS84 Spherical Mercator (EPSG:3785) projection and can be accessed online through the BlomURBEX platform or delivered via off-line media.
