MATRIX DIGITAL CAMERA

Blom owns and operates large format matrix digital cameras; Vexcel UltraCamXp. These cameras are highly efficient and produce superior quality images compared with small and medium format cameras. Vexcel UltraCamXp cameras record five different radiometric channels simultaneously; B/W, R, G, B and IR. All digital cameras are mounted in gyro stabilized camera mounts, equipped with Integrated Position Systems and IMUs (GPS / INS) and have digital Forward Motion Compensation.

Digital image processing is a fully automated process and varies depending on the type of camera. The images are stored on several different image servers. Backup is stored on high-capacity and high speed tape storage.

Blom successfully employs Vexcel UltraCamXp matrix digital cameras to survey urban areas with a ground pixel resolution below 5 cm.
