DIGITAL ELEVATION MODELS

Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) provide a mathematical representation of the ground or terrain. Digital Surface Models (DSMs) include above-ground features such as buildings and vegetation canopies.

In both cases, Blom Group companies create DTM/DSM’s as either a direct deliverable or as part of the mapping process, towards the end-goal of producing a topographic map or orthophoto image. Such terrain or surface models can be created using photogrammetry or LiDAR techniques.
