Blom can offer world class data for a range of uses including utility planning, construction and maintenance of power lines, railroads and highway. Depending on the required capture data is collected by either helicopter or fixed-wing planes. LiDAR systems scan the surface below the aircraft collecting the vegetation coverage and penetrating to the ground, providing considerable information on the terrain. Depending upon the system used, pulse rates can vary from 50,000 to 210,000 pulses per second, producing a dense cloud of 3-dimensional points.
