Mapping in all its aspects is the core activity in the Blom Group. This includes topographical mapping, base mapping, orthophotos, digital elevation models and seabed data products.

Geographical information of great value still exists in analogue archives of all kinds, including maps, plans and registers. Conversion and digitization of these documents is important both because they are often the only source of geographic information and also to establish a digital, historic archive accessible through modern technologies.

3D city modeling is rapidly evolving both in technologies applied and in geographical coverage. The Blom Group has been working with 3D city models for almost 10 years and the company is a market leader in both experience and establishing 3D city model libraries.

GIS activities are incorporated as an integral component in Blom Group services. Most products delivered to clients are used in solutions where map information is linked to register information. This can be either detailed, highly sophisticated for construction, measuring, analysis and visualization purposes or more simple ‘look up and locate’ functionality.
